Each device receives its own revocable token. Pairing codes expire after ten minutes.

Plugin setup

Install the kovi plugin

  1. Copy plugins/kovi.koplugin into your KOReader plugins folder.
  2. Restart KOReader and open Tools → kovi.
  3. Enter this server’s URL, then the pairing code generated above.
  4. Tap Sync now. Reading statistics and highlight text are synced together.

Upload your KOReader database

Choose statistics.sqlite or statistics.sqlite3 from KOReader’s settings folder. kovi opens it read-only and deletes the temporary upload after import.

Pair your KOReader

Generate a short-lived code, then enter it in the kovi plugin on your reader. This page updates automatically when the reader pairs.

Important: the reader must use a network-reachable address for this computer. Do not enter localhost, 127.0.0.1, or 0.0.0.0.
